| Personal History | Alex Strider was born to John and Helen in 1948, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on the world that would later become known as Earth 2. He doesn't remember much of his life before the population of his world was infected with the Life Prolongation Complex, extending his and the other childrens natural lifespan to millennia, but killing the adult population. After the deaths of the "grups" (or grown-ups), Alex and the other "Onlies" - what the children now referred to themselves as - were left to fend for themselves for the next three centuries. In the mid-23rd century, a Human known as Strider stumbled on to this planet populated by feral children and met Alex. Learning from him what happened to the planet's grups, and that they were running out of resources to scavenge, he created an old style distress beacon and began to broadcast. When he departed the planet, he took Alex with him. Alex spent a couple decades traveling with Strider and his adopted family before leaving and going to Vulcan. There, he studied with the Vulcan masters in the ways of logic, learning to better control his raging adolescent emotions. He applied and was accepted into the Vulcan Science Academy, where he obtained multiple degrees in warp theory and astrophysics. After departing Vulcan, he went to Earth and was accepted into Harvard University, graduating with a doctorate in psychology. Satisfied with his time away, he returned to travel with Strider once more. In the late 24th century, Alex joined Starfleet. |
