| Personal History | Vi was born on Rodul. She grew up with a seemingly happy family. Her father, EdYar was very demanding. He had very strict rules, and abode by every law. He expected his family to do the same. EdYar controlled every aspects of his family's life, from friends to personal preferences. This molded Vi into the socially awkward woman she is today. It is now habitual and even second nature for her to perform flawlessly. Sadly, she was never able to emote what she was feeling because father had raised her never to let her guard down. The only soul who she would dare to be herself around is her mother. Vi was naturally competitive and very sassy, as her mother would call it! Her father admired her competitiveness however frowned upon her foolishness. She was simply being a kid and doing what kids do, her mother would protest. Their bond as mother and daughter grew. Vi was a bit of a girly girl, which her father didn't approve of. He wanted her to be more tough. Vi excelled at school and was punished severely by her father. Humiliated at some points even for the smallest mistake. Vi would often rebel against his instruction and rules because she was very strong minded and wanted to do things her way. Because of her "insolence" as her father would call it, she was restricted from hanging with friends and of even dreaming of a boyfriend. It was school or nothing at all. The emotional abuse her father inflicted was irreversible the only escape she had, since she wasn't allowed friends was her mother,Lidda. She loved her Mother with all her heart, she was her Inspiration her best friend. Vi was her true self only around her. Though Vi has hardened as she was, would often scold her own mother for not standing up to their tyrant of a father. Soon after her 15th birthday Lidda fell mysteriously ill during her pregnancy after a Astrophotography campaign on a Class K planet. Vi had secretly decided after secondary school to focus on aiding her mother, However, Lidda, her mother, passed away during her pregnancy and so did her son, when Vi was just 16. Without ever seeing Vi Graduate secondary. Left under her fathers control Vi was put directly into post-secondary education. Her father forced her into college, blackmailing her. She studied nearly every branch of science until she earned an equivalent of PhD in Science on Earth on Rodul. After that, thinking it was over, EdYar forced her into Starfleet Academy as a double science major in Physics and Astronomy. |
