Personal History | Jolan was the product of a rape, yet his grandparents convinced his mother that it wasn't Jolan's fault. She carried him to term, and he looked so much like his grandfather, that she could almost forget how he was conceived. He grew up never knowing this, thinking that it was just a one night stand. When he applied to the Academy, they needed to know who his father was and that's when his mother told him. He hated it. He felt tainted, contaminated. His friends and grandparents helped him through it, and he graduated with honors from the Academy. His mother was there, proud of her son, and he finally began to heal. |
