Personality & Traits

General Overview A generally dispassionate and pragmatic woman harboring a deep hatred of the Borg. In her mind, once a person is assimilated into the collective, they are gone forever and must be destroyed.

While not a social person by nature--she prefers to work in the labs--she has learned how to capably interact with others.
Strengths & Weaknesses STRENGTHS

Given her age and profession, she is generally level-headed.

WEAKNESSES

The subject of the Borg is one of the few things that can cause her to act irrationally.
Ambitions To completely eliminate the Borg from the universe.
Hobbies & Interests She spends most of her free time in the science lab studying robotics and cybernetics.

Personal History Misty's life was defined by a single event, and it happened before she was even born: the destruction of her home world.

Born and raised on a planet that was not her own, her parents told her of her people's history and culture in an effort to preserve them.

While the stories stuck with her, they had the unintended side effect of causing her to harbor a deep resentment of the Borg. She began studying robotics and cybernetics to find a weakness in them she could exploit and thus destroy them all. She joined several different think tanks and organizations devoted to the study of the topics, moving on when she felt she had learned all she could.
Service Record She joined Starfleet at an age when most species are nearing the end of their lives, so being surrounded by people who were young enough to be her great-great-grandchildren was a bit of an adjustment for her. Finding little in common with them, she continued her research, taking advantage of Starfleet's vast resources.

Her work drew the attention of Starfleet's Borg Task Force, so upon her graduation from the Academy, she was assigned there. While she enjoyed being able to indulge her passion, she also longed for field work, so as her assignment drew to a close, she requested an assignment to a starship.
