Slingshot Back to the Future

Captain's log;

Repairs were completed enough to perform the slingshot back to our own time and the slingshot successfully completed. We are now enroute to our next destination. Command has approved my request for shore leave with one stipulation. We have to be available for questioning afterwards. I imagine it'll take them more than the two weeks I asked for to get through all the data we'll be sending them, so I've agreed to their terms and have decided to schedule resupply transports and repair crews at my orbital fortress for the refit so we can take our shore leave while they resupply us.

The resupply in the past, while necessary, will likely be a cause for concern to Command. However, as it's now clear that this is the reason my family even has an orbital fortress, I see this as a predestination paradox and will leave that migraine to Temporal Investigations and their accompanying agent, Mister Engstrom the Innumerable. Sensors show that the delivery vessels were unable to obtain any scans of the Hera and we were able to retrieve the supplies without incident while my great grandmother obtained a great information boon for her... Privateering... Business.

As for the temporal slingshot itself, Medical was able to disseminate injections to the entire crew for nausea prior to the maneuver to avoid any unnecessary messiness this time. On top of that, Thex and Akira were able to work out a program in the ship's systems to reduce shock to everyone so that only about half the crew passed out from breaking the temporal barriers. Commendations are in order for both. And to that Scotsman that saved the ship with a spatula, if anyone can find him.

Anyway, now that we're back in 2394 and our initial reports are in the hands of Command, at least most of the crew can relax for a while. Mal can handle day to day operations while we take a nice leisurely stroll at warp four to my orbital fortress while I handle subspace calls from Admirals all day. I just wish they'd stop making me repeat what's in the reports of the away team members over and over again.
