Pigs in a Banquet

Mission: Talosian Perversions
Timeline: [Back Post]

Chief Petty Officer Ginifred Klem was a hardworking and highly skilled engineer and technician when it came to her comfort zone which was Starfleet and work. She worked long hours, took on additional shifts, and always covered when someone was out sick or injured. Off duty, she was kind, compassionate, and caring albeit she was hardy, argumentative at times, and have out a heaping dose of tough love whenever she felt it was needed to whomever she felt needed it.

As experienced and skillful as she was, Chief Klem was still a grunt, a non-com, and in general a layman. She lived a life of tools at work and a round of beers off duty. She wore loose fitting civilian clothing when she wasn't in her duty uniform with her jacket or if the job called for it, squeezed into a somewhat custom fit engineer's jumpsuit. Klem was born and raised to a hard working family, but by old Earth standards and terms, her family was 'blue collar' and rather poor. She grew up in a household with several siblings. It was small and crowded. Their mother was the stay at home type who did all the cooking and cleaning without much assistance from modern technology. The Chief's father was an enlisted man as well, an engineer and general tinkerer.

Tellarites were rarely called beautiful, and Ginny Klem faced the problem throughout her childhood years and well into her teenage years. As a child she was called 'Miss Piggy,' 'Pig face,' or described as being 'pudgy' which followed her as she got older. She was a pretty good student at school academically though she often got into fist fights and was suspended several times. When she received the invitation to attend the banquet being held on the USS Hera, Ginny freaked out and was scrambling to find someone who wanted to go but was scheduled to work. She would have gladly taken their shift in order to skip the banquet.

The whole matter of a banquet reminded her terribly of her junior and senior prom. Her mother had forced her to go to the junior prom and Ginny didn't even have a date. Nobody had asked her. Not even the most unpopular red haired geeky kid in her class would ask her. Senior year's prom was even worse. She actually had a date. The most gorgeous boy in the school took her, but during the evening Ginny found out that he had only asked her on a dare from his friends. She left the prom in tears and vowed to never go to another dance or formal party again.

However, to avoid the Hera's banquet would be cowardice and Ginny was not a little girl anymore. She was a mature grown woman, and running away from her fears was the last thing she wanted to do. She decided that she would attend to banquet. Going there was one thing though. Finding something to wear? That was a whole other problem. A problem that lead her to turn to someone she truly trusted.

She had been pacing back and forth down the corridor for several minutes before working up the nerve to stand near the door. The proximity detector would have given her away, but the nervous Chief Klem actually physically knocked on the Captain's door.

Was that an actual knock on her door? Interesting... Enalia stood and headed to the door to check it, opening and peering out to find a Tellarite crewman at her door. "Chief Klem, I presume? Is there something I can do for you?"

"Yes" the Chief said simply. "This banquet is stressing me out and I have no idea what I am going to wear. Do I wear a dress uniform or a regular skirt?" she shook her head. "Do you know how long it has been since I've worn a skirt? What color looks good on me? Will I look fat in my dress?" the Chief continued onward and just rotted her way passed Enalia and right into the Captain's quarters.

"Help me. Please" said the Tellarite pleadingly. "You always look so attractive and elegant on the Bridge. I have never been called beautiful or pretty in my entire life except by husband, my family, and my friends" she expalined. "And don't get me started on my friends. Those skinny thin twiggy bitches. They lie through their teeth, and my gay friends...they are just as bad. I know what they say behind my back. 'Oh that looks hideous on her' or 'That color does not suit her lips' and I'm having a fashion meltdown" added the Tellarite as she plopped down on the Captain's couch.

This was unusual, to say the least. Enalia didn't think of herself as a fashionista like that and she certainly didn't actually care what people thought of her appearance. She just dressed in her various uniforms and adhered to the dress code. Closing the door, she sat down on the couch next to Gini, looking her over. "Well... personally, I plan on wearing my dress whites, but that might be a bit much. Do you have anything in earth tones? A nice slate blue calf length empire dress with beige stockings perhaps?"

The Tellarite woman snorted. "My closets terrify my friends" she said half jokingly. "I do not own a dress, Captain. All I have is a wardrobe full of black slacks, a closet of undershirts and uniform vests, and several identical black work jackets" she said shaking her head. "I haven't even touched my dress uniform in a few years."

"Computer, scan the Chief and replicate a slate blue empire dress with taupe vertical sunbursts and floral trim along the lower edge and a pair of taupe stockings. Low neckline, half length sleeves, and half calf length. Include a vanilla camisole as well." Enalia said, heading to her replicator as it started the process of replicating the clothing.

Catching a glimpse at the colors, the Tellarite took it all in. "The colors look...it's all astounding" she said with a small smile. "I've never worn such clothing before" Ginny added shaking her head. It was all just so much to take in.

As soon as the clothing was finished, Enalia pulled it out and handed it to Gini. "Here. Go try this on and I'll replicate some jewelry."

"Thank you" Chief Klem said, accepting the clothing and heading off to a more private area where she could change into the clothing. It was very kind of the Captain. The Chief knew she was fortunate to have such an understanding and accepting woman as a Commanding Officer.

Several minutes later, Klem, dressed in the clothing made her way out into Enalia's living area. The dress was easy enough to get into, and felt like it shaped her body nicely. It was snug but not overly snug. "I look like several dozen bars of Gold pressed latinum" added Klem.

"This should up the ante a bit then," Enalia commented as she all but ambushed Gini and draped a multi layered curtain of wooden and crystal beads on diamond filament wire across her chest and clasped it in back.

The Tellarite let out a sound of joyful squealing. "It is truly beautiful, Captain. You have made me look...pretty" she said, trying to find the correct adjective to describe her appearance and how she felt.

"Just doing what I can. Is there anything else I can help with?" Enalia said with a warm smile. There were some people she'd mess with, but this was not one of them.

"No Captain" she replied simply. "I will hurry up and go put all this away in my quarters until it is time for the banquet" added Chief Klem.

"I'll see you there then," Enalia said, still smiling.
