The captain meet the blue.

Thex smiled to herself as she read through the date on the padd she was reading. The ship's refits we're going well though judging by the mess of buggy code that had been reported she'd need to open up the main computers before getting the ship underway.

She guessed the Hera didn't like having her rifit done. She noticed that about ships. Some could take upgrades easily whilst others needed to be coaxed back into life. Maybe she should write a paper about it.

The turbolift stopping yanked her out of her thoughts as it shuddered to a halt. Tucking the padd into the leg of her tight fitting jumpsuit she stepped out and headed for the captain's quarters. It took the blue girl only a few munites before to arrive outside the captains quarters.

With the normal nervous that plagued her rising in her stomach, she pressed the door alarm. True she had called ahead to make sure the captain was free, but meet the new boss was always a nervous time for her. "Captain Telvan it's Lieutenant Thex sh'Zoarhi." She said calmly and politely.

Enalia was in her comfy chair, her feet kicked up with a book while Maica III cleared the table from dinner. "Come in," Enalia called, looking up from her book as the doors opened. Setting the book aside, she stood to greet her new CEO. "Lieutenant... I'm sorry, I'm not very good with Andorian pronunciations. How do you say your name?"

"Thex will do just fine captain. No one can get my last name right." Replied the andorian feeling slightly relieved. " it's nice to meet you Captain Telvan." She said offering her hand.

Shaking hands, Enalia motioned over at Maica III. "And this is my fiance, Maica. The pleasure is ours." With a nod and a smile, Maica greeted the Lieutenant. "Do you have any experience with Starfleet Intelligence or any of their special tech?"

"Nice to meet you Maica. As for you question captain, I have worked with intelligence before. Three decodings of classified Romulans probes, two Klingon probes and two undercover assignments." Thex replied proudly.

"An impressive resume to be sure," Enalia replied with a smile, motioning to a nearby seat, offering it to her guest. "The nacelles, reactors, and mission pod have all been replaced and there are still a lot of systems the refit crew are upgrading. The Hera isn't a normal Nebbie by any measure of the word. We launch in a week and I'll need you up to speed on every scrap of new tech that you can be that isn't overly classified and I'll need warp nine point six for seven days straight."

"Quite a challenge captain. I'll have to make sure the power systems are running flawlessly. As for the tech I'll make sure i have a strong pot of coffee and I'll be able to build it from scratch." Thex replied confidently.

"I look forward to the results then," Enalia smiled politely. Every engineer she'd known had said similar things and she expected a lot just based on Thex's records. "Is there anything I can do to help you out? Or just try to stay out of your way down in Main Engineering?"

"Well, you said the tech was new and given you'd asked me about intel i take it there some things most Starfleet vessels don't have. It would help to know if there anything you want me to keep to myself and not let my staff poke around in." Thex replied.

Enalia had expected this to come up eventually and was glad to get it out of the way early. "Yes, the classified areas are mainly the Intel offices and the Intel labs in the mission pod. You and your department should be cleared for everything else but for repairs in those areas, you'll need to coordinate something with Commander Eneas."

" Quite reasonable. I'll make sure they keep out of it. As for the rest of my job just keep helping if you think you can, but let me handle this girls running parts. " Thex said confidently.

"Engineering is yours Lieutenant Thex. My skills lie in piloting, command, and intel so you'll rarely see me down that way," Enalia replied with a smile. "Welcome aboard."

"Glad to be here captain." Thex responded. "If you don't need me for anything else I'll get down to main engineering and get to work."

"Please do so," Enalia replied, standing and motioning to the door. "Good luck."

"Thank you captain. I'll keep you informed." The andorian said as she stepped through the door.
