What is the Split World Alliance (SWA)?
Simply put, the SWA is a group of sims that have pledged sisterhood to each other. Sharing ideas, lending aid, and simply linking to one another are the main goals.
How do I join the SWA?
Send a message to the CO of any member sim either via an in-game PM or the sim's 'Contact Us' page. From there we will interview you and discuss admittance. The main discussion points will be the state of your sim and your writers.
Is this a fleet?
No. We do not track activities or require reports or keep canon. This is just an alliance of sister sims made solely for the express purpose of sharing knowledge and experience.
Doesn't this promote player poaching?
In a way, it can be seen as a possibility but it is our goal to make every sim in the SWA as awesome as every other sim through the sharing of ideas and knowledge. It is our hope that by visiting the other sims in the SWA your players find interesting things that they'll want to try out on your sim, thus making it more awesome.
What are the requirements of the SWA?
We ask that you display our banner and that once your sim is added to the roster that you add a SWA/Sister Sims page to your wiki that's publically accessible, which will have the banner in it. The ease of access of this page is up to you. The purpose of this is so that you have easy access to the network through the links and information on that page.
I see something I like on another sim in the SWA. Can I take it?
Yes. If it's a modification, let us know and we'll email you the files. If it's plot or story or similar, we ask that you let us know only as a professional courtesy. That and we love brainstorming ideas to come up with new storylines or tweaking used ones to fit other situations. That's one of the main goals of the SWA, after all.
Why are the sims listed in that order?
They're in alphabetical order based on the unique name part to promote equality and to prevent OCD breakdowns.
What are my limitations and requirements as a member of the SWA?
Don't use all my hosting space uploading things? This is a support group and you can put in and get out of it as much as you want. We just ask that you share cool stuff, interesting stories, and problems that you run across. We do need a banner from you, unless you prefer we make one up for you.
Who is the leader of SWA?
The leader of SWA is the entire member list. This is like PBS - it's for the users and if the users decide they want to see someone build a cabinet, they get to see someone build a cabinet. Everyone addressed in this email is both a member and a leader of SWA. I'm just here to provide the avenue of support you may or may not know you had to the best of my abilities. Thank you everyone for making siming in general so awesome and for brightening my life as well as the lives of everyone we meet and thank you for letting me support each of you in whatever way you need me to. ^_^
Do we have sponsors or do we sponsor anyone?
As non-profit hobbyists, no. We do however proudly support Kuro-RPG. Kuro-chan has assisted with many parts of the software used by SWA as well as the many rank sets that we enjoy. Here's a banner and a link. ^_^
