		Unsung Hero For recognition of supporting actions of a character. While heroism is often recognized, the silent and ever ready support crew can be overlooked. This award if for those who are always there to back up another, and their support makes the real difference when the heat is on.		Details
		Bronze Star Officers who put themselves in grave danger by going far beyond the normal call of duty qualify for this medal. Examples would be protecting a group of trapped/injured persons from enemy aggression; staying behind to ensure that the rest of the unit gets to safety and are not followed. NOTE: To achieve this award, the person nominated cannot simply be following their superior's orders. They must volunteer to carry out such acts.		Details

		Clara Barton Nursing Ribbon Awarded for excellence in the Medical field through Nursing. The Desert Fox Order of Tactics is named after Erwin Rommel, who earned the nickname of Desert Fox for his innovative use of a numerically inferior force as Commander of the Afrika Korps (Yes, that is actually spelled correctly), World War II. 		Horatio Nelson Citation Awarded for developing a new ship-to-ship maneuver. Named after Horatio Lord Nelson, the creator of the pall mall tactic that won the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, the Horatio Nelson Citation commends an individual who came up with a brilliant tactical maneuver in ship-to-ship combat that is worthy of recognition. 		Francis Drake Citation Awarded for outstanding ship-to-ship maneuvers and combat skills against the odds. Named after Sir. Francis Drake, English explorer, navigator, turned pirate. This award is in recognition for the 1855 defeat of the Spanish Armada. Drake was vice admiral in command of the English fleet (under Lord Howard of Effingham) when it overcame the Spanish Armada that was attempting to invade England in 1588. As the English fleet pursued the Armada up the English Channel in closing darkness, Drake broke off and captured the Spanish galleon Rosario, along with Admiral Pedro de Valdés and all his crew. 		B'Elanna Torres Treknobabble Commendation This award is given to commend writers of characters in any and all departments for their outstanding use of nonsensical technology words and use of star trek language to produce writing so confusingly authentic that it seems as though it came right out of a script. Awarded to players who work treknobabble into their posts, making the fantastic sound believable. Whether in the engineering or science fields, treknobabble ranges from Heisenberg compensators in transporters to polywater intoxication in medicine. When reading a post, the word protomatter just sounds a lot more Trek than the term red matter ever will.		Details

NOTE: This award is recognize originality in creation of a species. Thoughts and ideas should be original to the creator, not a borrowed species from outside of Star Trek. 		Hera's Crew Choice The Hera's Crew Choice award is a very special award. It is strictly decided by the crew through nominations for the award. There should only be one nomination per writer/player on Hera, and the award will be given out a couple times a year. When nominating someone for this award, you should be evaluating and reflecting on the characters that they have created, the writing that they have done with the characters, the devotion that put into these characters, and how essential that they have made themselves.
